Uniworld wins 3-year contract with Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation

Uniworld is providing telecoms services to the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) under a 3-year framework agreement.

ESPO is a local authority purchasing consortium operating throughout the Midlands and East of England.

After a two-stage procurement process Uniworld was selected as preferred supplier for a 3-year framework which started is worth approximately £0.5M a year.

The initial requirement is to provide services to Warwickshire County Council including calls and line rental. The Council has more than 2000 lines spread across a number of corporate sites.

Uniworld is also assisting with a marketing campaign to sign up some of their independently run district councils, schools and colleges. This involves more than 300 additional sites and Uniworld has already started to provide services to more than 25 schools.

The majority of the lines are being provisioned by Uniworld under WLR3.

Paul White, Corporate Procurement Manager of Warwickshire County Council said “Given the volume of our call traffic and the complexity of our infrastructure we wanted a supplier we could have absolute confidence in. Since Uniworld started working with us we have been very pleased with the professional approach and attention to detail of the team”.
